"Amazing food, always so tasty and fresh and also so clean and hygienic. I must say (Vicky and Dawn) must be two of the of loveliest ladies I have ever met in my life and we’re so happy to help. They were so chatty and honestly made my evening. I turned up 5 minutes before closing time and this wasn’t even considered a problem to them, even had some fresh chips put in for me, how good is that?!:) I can’t praise them enough for the experience I have had this evening and if you ever get a chance to go to swallownest fish bar you most definitely won’t be disappointed. Thankyou once again to Vicky and Dawn you are both an asset to the company."

"I was in this fish and chip shop yesterday and the choices of food are excellent...I had fish &Chips,peas ,curry sauce...And it was absolutely delicious the fish was large and plentiful cooked fresh ...if you have not been to this chip shop I suggest you do,highly recommend...."

"The fish shop is under new management so we decided to have fish Friday and go to swallownest fish bar. On entering the lady was polite and asked what fish I required as its cooked to order I waited around 20mins for my 3 cod but I didn't mind that as I knew it would be fresh. The cod was well cooked very large and meaty and was delicious and so were the chips, the curry sauce was tasty too the cost of the cod was £6.80 per portion and large chips £2.95 the large chips was adequate for 3 of us. Would definitely use again and I hope they keep the same standards up and we wish them well."

"Not our first visit and will not be our last. Good food at good prices. PROPER CHIPS not fries. The scampi was very nice, very filling... loads of food. Everything was piping hot and fresh. Can not fault this place..... we will be back"

"Only second time visiting the fish shop as I have to travel to get here. It was quiet and after talking to the owner he said January is always a quiet time. They cook fish to order at these quiet times which is understandable but at least you know it's cooked fresh. Very tasty fish and chips will call again."
